The ancient wellness practice of sound healing is a 2,000-year-old Tibetan technique that induces a deep state of relaxation to help you heal and turn of the mind. Each bowl has a unique frequency, sound, and tone that corresponds to the frequencies within the body. The range of sounds restore vibratory frequencies at the cellular level and throughout our nervous system, bringing the body to a natural state of balance. The movement of our brainwaves synchronizes with the vibrations of the bowls, improving brain wave frequencies, creating a deep meditation experience and enhancing creative thinking. Sound waves stimulate our immune response, reduce stress, harmonize the body’s cells, balance the body’s energy systems, decreasing the heart rate, blood pressure and muscle tension and calm our emotions.
Everyone is different so I use a variety of instruments along with the tibetan and crystal singing bowls such as tibetan tingsha, shamanic drum, frame drum, thunder tube, koshi chimes, tuning forks, flutes, rainstick, shakers, kalimba and steel tongue drum to meet my clients needs.
Most of my instruments are vegan and handmade. I collected them from small businesses around the world over the years.
Sound Therapy is part of a healing journey, multiple sessions are recommended for mind-body balance and chronic conditions.
The 90 minutes session includes 15 minutes consultation before and after the treatment and a 60 minutes Sound Therapy with koshi chimes, tibetan and crystal singing bowls, shamanic drum and/or other choice of instruments listed above.
There are certain illnesses, conditions, and circumstances that might require completely avoiding tibetan singing bowls.
If you have Epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease and have a deep brain stimulation device (DBS) to treat your illness. If you have a neurological disease other than these, please contact your physician to be sure that you can receive sound therapy with singing bowls.
In addition, singing bowls should not be placed on your body if you have a heart pacemaker, coronary stent, cardiac shunt, artificial heart valves, implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD), metal inserts, metal implants, or metal staples.
Placing a vibrating singing bowl on your body if you have any of these inside of you is very dangerous. As the singing bowl is played and the vibrations pass through your body, there is a chance that the vibrations could shake and disturb the metal inside of you, causing it to move or malfunction, which could result in pain.
“If we accept that sound is vibration and we know that vibration touches every part of our physical being, then we understand that sound is heard not only through our ears but through every cell in our bodies. One reason sound heals on a physical level is because it so deeply touches and transforms us on the emotional and spiritual planes. Sound can redress imbalances on every level of physiologic functioning and can play a positive role in the treatment of virtually any medical disorder.”
